How To Be Rich And Happy

Most people want to be happy and many of those people may also want to be rich. In fact, I suspect many people think that if they were rich they would also be happy — unfortunately it doesn’t work that way.

You may well have fantastic wealth at your disposal but that wealth won’t necessarily guarantee your happiness. Happiness comes from a different place, happiness comes from inside. It’s about how you feel about yourself and the way you think about the world around you. Sure, having incredible wealth may well enhance your feelings of happiness but it won’t guarantee lasting long-term happiness.

When you’re considering how to be rich and happy, you’d be well advised to work out how you can be happy before you work out how to be rich.

To work out how to be happy, you need to understand something about your beliefs and how those beliefs create the world you see around you. For example, if you believe you don’t deserve to be happy, there’s a good chance it will become a self-fulfilling prophecy and you won’t find happiness.

You also need to work out what being rich and happy means to you, i.e. do you really need to be a millionaire or could you consider yourself rich if you just doubled your salary?

In order to double your salary, would you have to double the time you spend at work and miss out on a wonderful family life? Would you be happy doing that?

For most people the idea of living an ideal lifestyle means attaining a certain level of wealth, and whatever that level of wealth is, may well be your definition of rich.

Perhaps the real definition of rich and happy is being able to do the things you want to do, when you want to do them?

If you want to be rich and happy, the best place to start is to define exactly what that means to you.
