The amazing thing is that you can create such things, using the Cricut Expression Machine. The Cricut Expression is a machine that uses a cutter blade to create just about anything you can imagine. You simply purchase or rent the Cricut cartridges of your liking, place it in the cartridge holder and you are set to create to your hearts content.
The Cricut Expression is a machine made by Provo Craft Company. The machine has a nice sized lcd screen that you can see what you are typing for your cut, and allows you to see the size you are cutting.
This great machine uses many mediums to cut on, from cardstock to posterboard, magnet sheets, velum, and even vinyl. There are many features on the Expression that you will have a new idea to try and learn each time you use it. It will repeat a print over and over on the same page, auto fill a page, print in shadow, flip a design, and so many more options. The Expression is the largest of all the Cricut cutters. It can cut designs and letters up to 12×24″, which is great for letters, signs and wall hangings.
The hardest part of the Expression is deciding which Cricut cartridges to get first. The cartridges are an amazing part of the cricut line. There are many cartridges to choose from, including many styles of fonts, themed cartridges such as Cars, Batman, or even Disney. There are cartridges that are just various frames, or templates such as boxes or tags for gifts.
With the Cricut Expression and the cartridges, you have everything you need to create great stationary, cards, signs and scrapbooks.

The New Cricut Cake Cutting Mats
The Cricut cake machine is the newest invention to take the crafting world by storm. In this article, we will be discussing the new mats that come with the cake machine. These mats are not the same as the mats for all of the Cricut cutting machines. The mats for the other machines have sticky glue like substance to hold your paper in place. The new mats do not have a sticky substance on them. The way you use the mats for the cake machine is simple, you use either a little bit of oil or shortening to hold down your gum paste or your frosting sheet. When you are done using your mats, you can then take them and wash the oil off with a little bit of dish liquid and water. Would not recommend putting them into the dishwasher, the edges could curl on you. In addition, if you ever try to make your mat sticky by using glue like substance, it could void your warranty.
The new Cricut cake machine has two different sizes of mats. The small Cricut cake cutting mat has a series of measuring rings on it. This helps you to get the right size cut that you need. It is also the better size to get the more intricate cuts you might be using for your cake, cupcakes or what ever you are making.
The bigger Cricut cake cutting mat 12×24 has two separate set of ring measurements on it. This is good if you are making a bigger project. It is also better if you are making a border to fit around your cake. This would also be the better size to use if you are making 24 cupcakes, you could then cut all of the designs out at one time and they would be uniform, because you would have a big enough sheet of either gum paste or frosting to use.
Whichever size mat you decide fits you best, just have fun with your new Cricut cake machine.
