Hardware mounted gates at the bottom of a staircase insure that the gate cannot be accidentally dislodged allowing the toddler access to the staircase and potential dangers. Gates mounted at the top of the stairs should always be set up to swing in over the landing not over the stairs.

“Have Your Stairs Ready By Tomorrow – Or Your Money Back”. Just imagine hearing those words over the phone instead of excuses for all the delayed work from your contractor. And lets not even get to the excuses that you’re given with the delays that your carpenters make. Heaven forbid if you’ve had to go through with a build which had the stairs done up the wrong way – did that peeve me off or what when it happened to me. Heck! It was so bad someone at work had to sit me down and ask if everything was alright with the wife and kids at home. Yes, it got that bad!

However it was then, after a lengthy talk with my contractor; once I told him that I would only accept any further work from him if he didn’t charge me for the stair and got me the phone number of the best prefabricated stairs factories in town. He did however convince me to let him do the installation of the prefab stair for me instead of letting the men from the stair manufacturer install it – but only because he offered to have it done for less than they would. I am after all the best price guy you have here after all!

So I called up all the companies and of the two that were free one had done work for another household in the neighborhood and was I amazed by the work they had done or what! Turns out they use the latest in metallurgical techniques as well as wood reinforcement and polishing which allowed me to get my money’s worth easily once the price was quoted through my reference. It turned out to be $300 cheaper overall than what my contractor would have charged me for the stair had he managed to get it done! In some ways, I’m glad it didn’t. It allowed me to explore a whole new dimension to the amazing world of factory made stairs.
