Custom Auto Insurance For Custom Cars

If you drive on the freeways and streets today, you know just how far some drivers have gone to customize their vehicles to make them stand out more than anyone else. There are television shows that are specifically about customizing vehicles to the point where the vehicle has so many shiny parts on it you can see it coming blocks away. Also, they have such loud music systems that you can hear them coming from farther than that. It’s always been said that a person’s car is an extension of themselves. These days, some people are wearing flashy, shiny jewelry and bright clothes and they’re dressing up their vehicles the same way, so that seems to be true. These additions to vehicles include: chrome rims and grills; hand-painted murals on the sides of the car; loud, shiny pipes; DVD players and LCD monitors; expensive stereo systems with large speakers inside and out; lights all around the interior and exterior; and hydraulics that can make the car seem to jump off the ground and stand on end.

All these additions to a car make it very hard for a village auto insurance company to calculate the insurance premium, if they cover them at all. The best thing for a person to do is to call their auto insurance company before they make any additions and ask them what type of additions they will cover and how much the insurance premium will be. The insurance company is more likely to cover something that is installed safely by a trained professional. This will probably keep your premiums down because it will keep your vehicle in a lower risk category. Also, you will be sure that they are installed properly if a professional does the work. It is a good habit to keep all receipts for these parts and the invoices for the installation of them. When you put these items on your vehicle you are inviting a thief to steal them, so you should park your vehicle in a garage if possible.

Car Insurance Rates Are Dropping

Surveys among car owners show that almost half of them feel they are being overcharged for car insurance. That is what is driving the car owners to shop around much more for keystone auto insurance than in the past. The auto owners stated that without notice their current insurance company had raised their premium when their renewal time came around. Shopping around for auto insurance has proven to pay off for many car owners who took the time and diligently searched until they found insurance for their auto that was a reasonable rate. It has been reported that some of these shoppers saved as much as $100 on their new policies.

Another survey found that one-third of drivers have decreased their driving to save money on gasoline and also to make themselves eligible for the low mileage discount that most auto insurance companies are now offering. If a driver reduces their mileage by a certain number of miles they can qualify for this discount which will lower their insurance premium up to 15 percent. This means that more people are carpooling today than six months ago or taking the many types of public transportation available now. Some people are even riding their bikes to work whenever possible or walking if it is reasonable.

There are some car owners that are decreasing their coverage which is not the best solution to the problem because it is not a good idea to be underinsured. You should always have enough insurance to fully protect yourself. In fact, in order to protect yourself you also need to purchase uninsured/underinsured motorists coverage because there are a lot of people in those categories on the road. You can increase your deductibles but remember that if you get into an accident and your vehicle is damaged you will have to come up with the extra money in order to get it repaired.

Best Ways to Save on Auto Insurance

If you are experiencing financial problems and you’re considering dropping your auto insurance policy, think about the consequences. This would be a very serious mistake on your part as it is mandatory that you carry at least the minimum your state requires. Not having auto insurance is against the law. If you drive an automobile without insurance you could be putting yourself in deeper financial trouble. Some people think that they can just avoid getting into an accident and thereby not get caught. But, you never know what is going to happen when you’re driving on the freeways with hundreds of other drivers. You could be the best driver ever, but it just takes one wrong move by another driver to cause an accident. If that driver doesn’t have insurance, then who will pay for the damages to your car or medical treatment for any injuries to you or anyone else in your vehicle? Plus, there will be consequences for you not having insurance, such as: a large fine, your drivers license could be suspended, you may have to serve jail time, your car may be impounded, or your license plates may be confiscated.

If you had at least the minimum state requirement, you would not have to suffer all of the above punishments. It’s really not worth it to go without insurance. If you are low on money, try to find some other way to cut your budget that is not against the law. You should check with your seminole auto insurance to see if you are eligible for any discounts for things like keeping your driving record clean, insuring more than one vehicle, driving fewer miles annually, etc. It is important to remember that car insurance is protection for you, your family, and your assets.

It is better to pay your auto insurance premium every month than be stuck with large fines and more expensive insurance if you get into an accident without insurance. Your current insurance premium is much less than if you let it lapse. You might even be put in the position of putting up a bond since you will then be in a higher risk category. This will cost you much more money than you saved by dropping your auto insurance coverage. If your current insurance premium seems to be too high, you should get on the internet and get quotes from several other companies to see if you can get a better rate.

No-Fault Auto Insurance Information

Some states still have what is called “no-fault” insurance. This means that even if you aren’t at fault in an accident, if you get in an accident and you don’t have cheap inexpensive auto insurance, the guilty party’s insurance will not pay for your medical injuries. This type of insurance is said to speed up claims because your own insurance company pays for your claims, thereby decreasing the chance of someone overstating their injuries and trying to get more money than they should.

The no-fault insurance is referred to as Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and there are twelve states that still have this type of insurance. The amount of this type of coverage is determined by the state insurance departments. In these states the insured cannot sue the other party, even if they were at fault, for anything except when the expenses go over a certain amount, a monetary threshold, or when the accident causes death or disability to the person not at fault, a verbal threshold. Some of these states also let an injured persons sue for pain and suffering under certain circumstances.

No-fault cheap full coverage auto insurance can be very complicated as each state has different options such as the right to “buy back” the right to sue another driver. To do this the insured has to purchase more bodily injury coverage. There is a great need for PIP because it provides protection from all the uninsured drivers there are today. It gives the insured peace of mind that they will have their own medical expenses covered if in an accident with one of those drivers.

There is another negative factor regarding no-fault insurance, there is no coverage at all for any property damaged in an accident. The only thing to protect your property is to purchase Comprehensive and Collision coverage. Also, if you are at fault in an accident you may be held responsible for the other driver’s property damage so you need to also purchase liability coverage that will pay for that if necessary.

If you live in one of the twelve states with no-fault auto insurance, you should discuss your options with your insurance agent to make sure that you are covered for all circumstances.
